MISSION MINISTRY

Making Disciples Of All Nations

For over 125 years, The Second Baptist Church’s Missions Ministry has been a vibrant outreach initiative staffed entirely by volunteers. In addition to supporting numerous projects throughout Michigan, the country, and around the world, many of the ministry’s endeavors occur right here in the greater Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor area.

Caring For The Community

For I was hungry, I was thirsty, I was a stranger, and I was sick; you gave me something to eat, you gave me something to drink, you took me in, and you cared for me...
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Matthew 25:35-40

MAKING A DIFFERENCE INTERNATIONALLY

EYEGLASS RECYCLE PROGRAM

Refractive error of the eye is a common disorder that can be easily corrected with eyeglasses. However, millions of people living in low- and middle-income countries lack access to basic eye care services.

Prescription Bottle Program

Millions living in low- or middle-income countries around the world, where medications can be dispensed in folded paper scraps, leaving them vulnerable to weather or accidental ingestion.

That is why SBC's Mission Ministry has partnered with The Lions Club International Recycle for Sight and Prescription Bottle Programs.
